Cassidy Willison

Hi! I am Cassidy Willison and I am the Children’s Ministry Director. I am super excited not only for all the fun events we do here in Kids Ministry, but for seeing the children grow their walk and relationship with Christ. I graduated from Kentucky Christian University and previously taught Kindergarten for 4 years at Genoa Christian Academy. I have a passion for teaching kids and I am so excited to use my gifts to teach kids about Jesus! At my last church, Genoa Church, I served in the Youth Ministry leading worship and a High School Juniors Small Group. My family is heavily involved in ministry and this has made a huge impact on my life.

A perfect day for Cassidy would include a spicy canned Dr.Pepper straight from the fridge, a steak bowl from Chipotle surrounded by my family and friends. I love spending time with them whether at the beach or around our couch at home.

My favorite kids ministry memory is when I lead worship for an event and I look out into the crowd and see the kids genuinely worshiping the Lord. The outward presence of them opening up to the Lord was a core memory while I was serving in that ministry.

In Luke 8, Jesus was walking in a crowd and He felt someone touch his robe. A woman who had a severe health issue touched his robe and was instantly healed. She had so much faith to reach out to Jesus for healing. Verse 48 says, “Daughter,’ he said to her, ‘your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” This by far has been one of my favorite passages to read in scripture (besides the story of Esther) because this woman had so much faith in a Savior that all she had to do was touch his clothes to be healed.

East Side Grace has been such a blessing during the short time I have been here. I cannot wait to see how God works in this church and ministry.
